One jumped from a building and crashed onto a car. One attempted to jump into the sea but was rescued. Another was found dead with corpse floating on the coast along Friendship Bridge.
According to an uncle which sold me me almond biscuit near St Paul Ruins, their common binding thread was GAMBLING. That was conveniently glossed over by the paper. I asked him how many cases of suicides occurred annually in Macau, all he said was a lot. Maybe just like Singapore, 1 per day? But in term of population and density, suicide rate would be higher in Macau.
Just yesterday, it was reported that a woman attempted suicide along the coast of Macau but was averted by the husband. Paper mentioned that they were quarreling. What were they arguing about ? Not reported. Anybody guesses.
